About the game
Blaston is a high paced pvp where you fight against each other by using the 6 types of guns that generate around you. These guns shoot varying projectiles: From slow moving balls to high speed darts and you have to dip and dodge to stay alive. This game allows you to play online with random players and online with your friends. So should you get it?

As always, I will include a TL;DR at the bottom of the page for your convenience.
Immersion
Thoughts
Blaston is one of the most action packed games I’ve ever played. It plays like dodgeball with guns and it will surely have you squatting, swerving, and sweating every time you turn it on. While the mechanics are simple, everything is very well done: Grabbing guns feels natural, aiming and shooting them feel great, but, most uniquely, throwing and catching grenades can be so satisfying when pulled off correctly. This game had me JUMPING at times to catch an opponents grenade.
On top of the basic combat, online matches, the main means of playing the game, provide an amazing way to communicate with your opponent, through words but with body language! The most fun I’ve had in this game is when I taunt a losing opponent or get a thumbs up from winning a hard earned round. Win or lose, fist bumping your opponent at the end of the match connects you to the other player’s like no game has done ever before.
Score
Because of the perfected simplicity of combat and the expressiveness of the avatars, I give
Blaston a 10 in immersion.

Playability
THoughts
On top of the 6 guns you begin with, there are also a plethora of unlockable guns, avatars, and flags that you receive by leveling up in combat. While most of the unlockables are just aesthetic, each gun you unlock has a unique projectile type. From lasers, to shields and curving bullets, you can customize your loadout and develop a countless number of fighting styles that fit your liking.
The most notable part of Blaston’s playability is the continuous support and updates that the developers, Resolution Games, keeps pushing through. When I first got the game, it was simple, sweaty, gunfighting fun. Now, they’ve added fun community rooms, a bunch of new skins, a campaign and, best of all, new guns. The work they put into keeping the game feel fresh shows and it’s great fun

This game not only provides you hours of fun, but it also is a great fitness application. After a couple matches, I found myself sweating and having to take a break because of how active you need to be to win.
